The Difference Between Inert Alumina Ball and Activated Alumina Ball

时间:2025-01-13

Inert alumina balls and activated alumina balls are two different kinds of alumina balls, and there are some differences in their properties and uses.

Inert alumina balls: Inert alumina balls usually refer to alumina particles after high temperature calcination, which have high corrosion resistance and thermal stability and are not easy to chemically react with other substances. Inert alumina balls are often used as fillers, supports or catalyst carriers, and their main role is to provide physical support and surface area to enhance reaction efficiency or separation effect.

Activated alumina balls: Activated alumina balls refer to specially treated or surface modified alumina particles with more active surface properties and chemical activity. Activated alumina balls are often used as adsorbents, catalysts or fillers and other fields, with stronger adsorption properties or reactivity, can promote the conduct of chemical reactions or adsorption of substances.

In general, inert alumina balls are mainly used to provide physical support or separation effects, while activated alumina balls pay more attention to their chemical reaction performance and active surface characteristics. In a specific application, the choice of which alumina ball to use depends on the desired function and properties.
